The AWD 700R4 out of a Safari van + front diff. would work really well, the only thing that blows is you won't be able to turn off the AWD like you can with the stock setup.

Originality factor bit it though after the first swarm of v8 powered S chassis' and R chassis' hit the drift scene. Way more reliable power though, just makes so much more sense in the long run.. But, one thing that can't be imitated is the sound. RB has that distinct RB sound - that alone is tough to ditch.

Just went and gone through reading this, and the only thing that pops up in my mind is, if your swapping a 350 or any variance
why would you go trough all the trouble of fitting it in front of the stock GTR trans. Wouldn't it be a lot better to stay with a
T-56 or TR6060 ? Hell of a lot cheaper to rebuild, upgrade and plenty of strong clutch that are easy to drive with at reasonable
price.
I can't see adapting the T56 to the GTR transfer case being much more difficult than all the work required to mate the GTR
transmission to the 350.
With the cost of parts for these cars, I'm really surprise it's not more common.
