Intakes do not make the exhaust louder. You can hear air rushing through the intake piping though

You are correct. I'm not a big fan of this sound..ideally I'd like to only hear the exhaust

Well, the pron content of this thread has been seriously lacking for the last little while as I have been far too busy enjoying the car, but now I am starting to accumulate parts for my winter build:
Defi link & gauges, gauge pod, Splitfires and new coilpack harness arrived today courtesy of Adam @ Feast. Like a little kid I couldn't wait and ran out to install the Splitfires and take it for a rip. Much smoother response, feels a bit peppier, no more high rpm stumble.

After seeing that essential gauge pod in cortexx's car man does that thing ever sit nice. That's going to look excellent! How do you plan on hiding the wires though?

As much as I shudder at the thought, I will probably drill a hole to run the wires up directly under the pod and keep them hidden, going to try to keep it clean as possible.

I know, but unless I can come up with a better idea, could run them thru the vent, but will still see them, ditto if thru the defrost vent.

There is a thread/trick here to cut in the vinyl and not leave a mark if ever you want to remove your gauge. Cut a "H" hole and push in the flaps. Pop them back up if you remove the gauge.
