  • My car was down for 2 years. Got it back on the road a week ago and I couldn't be happier when I'm driving it. Don't sell, you will regret it. When it's all back together and tuned you'll remember why you kept it.

What turbo are you thinking of going with? I'm selling my HKS 2530s and going with a Precision 6266. Good turbo for the money and can make 600+whp on a mildly built engine.

    • Once its finished I will be very glad lol.

Nobody wants to buy my T88 so i'm probably going to mount it on my lawnmower. Going to order a Precision 6766. Read a lot about the 6266, 6466, and 6766 on supra forums and guys are loving them. Probably going to mount it on a full race manifold, maybe a 6boost.

      • The T88 probably won't sell cause it's too "little" and old technology. As for the full race manifold, it's only sexy looking if it's had an EFR hanging on it!!!! Precision are some really awesome turbos but they're not EFR badass unfortunately...

          • Sounds like your in the same boat as me, champagne taste on a beer budget salary. I hope you win the lotto (along with me) to get our cars back on the road, definitely a great build thread you have.

I don't know about that man. I was all gung ho for an EFR but I read some bad stuff about the built in BOV and they are making the same or slightly less power than a Presision with hardly any response benefit.

As far as the Full Race manifold, I'm going with a 6boost just so I can run 1 waste gate instead of 2. Plus buying a 6boost is about 2/3 the cost so another win there. A slight weight advantage with Full Race but they are both indestructible manifolds as fas as I can tell.

              • Theirs a great thread about the pt6266, 6466, and 6766 with dyno sheets on all of them and great write ups. Compare those dyno charts with an EFR dyno chart and you wont see much difference. Then look at the cost of the efr compared to the precisions and their is a huge difference. With the price they want for them I'd want to see huge gains.

Caliber....I should have been done this rebuild a long time ago lol I just didnt know what I wanted to do with it. Thought about goin big twins but it was too much work. Didnt know if I wanted to keep my turbo setup and just rebuild the motor and go again with that but then I just decided to go balls deep into the project and totally change everything and make it my own. My goal is to start tuning next spring and hope for 700awhp.

                • LOL what a joke that last post is....basically Ive been selling all my motor parts and have the shell for sale and was hoping to just get rid of everything. Every day I change my mind about this car and what I wana do with it. There has been a lot of interest in the shell but nobody has handed over the cash and taken it away. Basically what I wana do is strip the remains out of the engine bay and send the car off to get some rust repaired in the rear driver wheel well and give the girl a fresh paint job. For you guys that have resprayed your cars professionally how much did it cost? I'm sure every body shop is a lot different in pricing but I'd like to get it done right. Thinkin about doing a full bushing kit on the car and probly a new suspension setup.

If the car doesnt sell those are my plans for the next few months...but if it sells I guess i'll be ordering a new car straight from godzilla heaven!

This post is absolutely pointless but had to share my sadness with the car looking all depressed sitting on jackstands, collecting dust in the garage!

                  • With two new rear quarter panels put on and a full respray I paid 5k. I bet you could get one for around 3.5k for a decent paint job and rust repair
