That's technically $1000 or more that can go towards turbo, head mods and other power adders.

There're lots of guys making over 500whp on factory manifolds and head mods, meaning they don't spend huge cash. The gains on the tomei bits aren't as good as what they cost compared to other mods.

Single turbo is the way to go. Less weight, less shuffle, less cost (most times), less lag, more top end, less clutter to work with.
Thanks bruizer. I'm not to sure on going the single turbo route (because i've already started my build around a twin) but definitely will look into getting my manifold ported instead of going out and dropping a grand on a tomei expreme. Think I'm still in love with those 7655's though and with this forum as a guideline I think even with my novice skill on cars and obviously the help of a knowledgable friend I would be able to save a bit of money by doing it myself.

@rabbit - i have some EBC red stuff pads going in the brembo calipers in the near future , havn't installed them yet because i'm not ready to track this thing yet. And to be honest after seeing the way the ricers behave on the tracks around here i'm not too sure i will. Do you see the flipped Scoobie at Mosport ? and all the other ricers stopped on the track got out and ran around ON the track ? .

I'm thinking I'd like to try and find a mature club to join that can book the track for club use only so that the moron element isn't an issue!

They normally do some pretty good stuff. They have mad many cars to be 500-800hp and they are solid.

You definitely have a properly tuned ecu there

Stardate - tonight at around 10:30 pm (tea time)

My blower motor made some funny thumping noises towards the end of last year before finally quitting and i always meant to pull things apart and find out what went wrong , well , tonight my wife fell asleep 5 minutes into the day of the triffids (admittably it's not really a chick flick) so feeling restless and seeing as how the outside temp was actually habitable for humans for a change i decided to go investigate.

15 minutes on google and i cant find anywhere which tells me how or where the blower is so i grabbed a guiness and went out to investigate. 15 seconds after following a hunch it might be behind the glove box , i found it behind the glove box .

3 X 8mm nuts holding it in , 2 of which came out easy but the 3rd required the removal of the ECU and WTFAARK wiring mess to behold - next project is remove all the wiring not needed and tidy it up - sometime next week !

However I did find this -

Hmm anyone shine any light on it ? i tried googling it and didnt really come up with anything useful. Couldn't find a company website or anything. Looks like it may be a chipped ECU , all the more reason to remove it and install the PowerFC asap.

Out fell the blower and immediately it became obvious what the problem was -

It had a ton of white fibres from a sleeping bag that was somewhere else in the garage and more **** in it than justin Beibers diapers. This wasnt just a mouse house , it was an entire rodent colony living in a highrise nest. No wonder the inside had a slight odour of death everytime i took a ride.

Pulled about 2 times this much out form the immediate air chamber and sucked out about another 4 cups of faeces.

I dismantled the fan and motor assembly and cleaned everything with brake cleaner , re- lubed the motor bearings and wd40'd the motor armature and tested it on a battery ( all works again ).

Threw everything back together and went for a drive with windows down , heating on and the great smell of brake cleaner blasting out of the vents , its better than mouse **** , but ill febreeze the vents tonight and leave the vents shut so it can work it's magic..

just read through this the first time.
    i love your black hoses.
why did you go with a power fc?
why not something more update / quicker processing speeds?
