Nice stuff, but why keep the 4 lugs ?!? Brake wont follow the rb power you will have!! Ill follow your build since im finishing mine (same engine same chassis). If you need advice just tell me. Is a shame for
Your wiring, paid a lot, waited a lot too, mine was made in 1 week by Robin Almasi, the wiring magicien here in quebec for nissan swaps.

Yeah I took a look at your thread. We shouldn't have many problems from here on out but if i have one ill toss a pm your way. It only ended up costing about 350 for the rb wiring itself. which isnt too much it just took forever! Hopefully we'll be hearing mine run this week. If so ill be sure to toss a video up! Thanks for the feedback.

        Update 12
Okay so now it was time to install some of the new parts!
First we pulled off the old fuel rail and injectors.

And put the new ones in

Then found a mounting spot for the AFRP

Picked up some steel braided line for the fuel system

        and mocked up the fans

We then planned to switch the fuel pump to a walboro 265 but when we pulled the old pump we realized the previous owner had already done so!

Also the engine was sitting pretty close and didn't look quite right

        New pulleys

In an effort to swap the ps pulley we realized we had the wrong pulley (after we ruined the original pulley attempting to pull it off) This began a very long battle I was about to start with the PS system.

Also bought a blitz turbo timer

Also installed the new steering wheel

Next update will be about PS system

          Update 13

Okay so now that the PS pulley was bent and we still couldn't figure out how to remove it or identify which pump it was I bought a used rb26 pump and pulled the pump off my sr20 to see what we could throw together in terms of a power steering system.
Here's the old pump (any ideas what its from?)

Once the rb26 pump arrived I realized it could not be used because of the dual outputs!

So I decided to use the SR pump with the Rb26 tensioner bracket

Were running into a clearance issue with the Turbo inlet

If anyone has any thoughts about the system or can identify the original pump let me know!

you can disassemble the rb26 pump and remove the rear rotors so it wont pump any more then just find a bolt to plug the whole alot of people do this while removing the hicas system, i believe there is a write up on here somewhere about this

I don't have the engine mounting bracket for the RB26 pump, But if I can source one that's a good idea!

                        Week Of Work
                        Saturday

So I had a week between the end of my winter term exams and the beginning of my spring courses! I tried to dedicate the full week to the car. So we started off by making a good old fashioned list of things to do.

Then we swapped the clutch slave cylinder and bled the system.

It was already pretty late so we figured we'd go to bed and get an early start in the morning.

                        Sunday
With an early trip to canadian tire for some tools we would need we started working on the around 12. First we worked on mounting up the new Mckinney mounts that would go on the 240sx crossmember. The plan was to keep the engine suspended in the place it was. Remove the Gtst crossmemeber swap the steering rack over and bolt up the 240 cross member with the new mounts. Here's come pictures of what the mounts looked like before going in.

While removing the old cross member we accidentally rounded one of the nuts making it near impossible to remove the engine mount. After a couple hours with an air chisel and a compressor that could not keep up we finally got it off! Here's what was left.

Now it was time to do a mock up and see how the alignment of the mounts were. They weren't even close! We could not figure out how to rotate/shift the engine to fit into these new mounts, it just looked as though it wasn't gonna fit. After an hour or so of research we realized that the mounts on the engine were not the original Rb26 mounts. Scared that we were going to lose the big week we had planned due to a small but important part we started frantically searching for mounts. We first found some on ebay in the UK but shipping was going to be horrendous to have the mounts here any time within our week of work. Just incase I threw a WTB thread up here on GTRC. Within an hour GTRC member 333 replied and told me he had a pair I could pick up that night (it was already around 1am). Being out of town at the cabin we drove in as fast as we could and were back by 3. Sadly the bolts used to hold the old mounting brackets in place were too short so we had to call it a night.

                        Monday
With the new bolts in hand it was time to get started. After an hour or so of playing with the engine we finally got it mounted up and the positioning was far better.

Now I started working on the intercooler piping and my cousin started fabbing up mounts for the intercooler. The holes I cut were kind of haggard but we will be rewelding over top and recutting at a later date. For now it just needed to work!

Now to see how the new brackets for the intercooler would line up with the piping!

                        Not bad at all!

More to come so stay tuned!

                                Week Of Work Continued
Okay so here's some pics of the intercooler mounts we fabbed up!

So now it was time to toss on the new filters and put together the intakes. THe gaskets din't fit so we just made some from gasket paper.

                                BOV looking good

                                Getting more and more complete

Threw in the fans and radiator, check the BOV clearance, There will be some adjusting that needs to happen

Everything is sort of fitting like a glove at this point

                                SURPRISE

watch (to the end), enjoy, comment.....
