Is that oil system assembly able to be used with a dry sump pump? That looks like a great idea and quality piece

I remember this from Skymeet! it was parked with its hood down.......

someone said thats an RB30 car, I would've liked to see how you fit it under the hood.

Thanx for all the encouraging comments

I spent some time on the car and relocated the fan to the front of the rad which opened up everything so nice.
Also wanted to ask if anyone has there experience with the nylon braided hose vs steel braided.
Reason I ask is because I used the nylon on the pressure side of the oil system and I didn't like the extreme difficulty when hose ends were fitted. Had to pull the hoses back out to start the assembly.
I think I'm gonna redue them in Steel hose.

No much of an update but thought I share a little project I did.

So a while back I bought a sport comp monster tach with the shift light from Oakville (Thx)
It was cosmetically damaged but functionally sound.
Being so large I didn't want it hanging off the dash so I installed it into the factory dash.
Sorry for the lack of tear down and build pics.

Shift light located on top of dash.

I'd try and give instructions as to how I did it but I don't think it would come across well in text.

Next ill try the oil pressure and temp gauges while trying to use the factory connections and replacing the sensors.

              nice project

y dident u go wit more agressive camshaft to try to push the power till further in the powerband ?

not hating ,i love your custom build, just asking question

              Cheers

                Thnx Lucky

My decision to stay with the less aggressive cams was because I am using the rb30 crank with the stock main girdle.
RB's have been said to not like the higher rpm range above 7500-7700 and more aggressive camshafts make there power higher so that is why I went with the type B cams and springs.

Your Nitto crank is a sweet piece and is defiantly built for high revs.
Did you buy the billet mains also from Rips?
How high of RPM did Rob say you'd be safe to go to?
There's a guy on YouTube with a Gtr called El Toro running a 3.2l also
                http://youtu.be/T4ZHJE0hbBQ

I think you will be the only and highest displacement RB in Canada!!

                Best of luck man!

                  I like.

Engine has alot of oil pressure, as oil pressure gauge is off the chart.

I dident Get BILLET main , ROB told me he ran 6 sec wit stock mains, so y bother ,

yeah my rips engine is pretty sweet , motor is ready for 9500 RPM,
Head has TOmei type b spring n retainer so ,.9500
                    TOMEI Pump 10 000rpm
                    nitto 3.2 stroker block =10 000 rpm capable and 1600 hp ,

so i will just see what the dyno says , if the motor still makes power till 9200 RPM , well that will be the red line :P

if its 8800 well 8800 rpm will be my red line ,

but the motor is definitely ready for 9000 rpm EAZY EAZY ,

cheers buddy , and u have a swweet build too

They have RB26s running 9, 8 and 7 quarters to0 so y bother with an RB30, let along a stroked 3.2. What's that cost $5k more than a built 26? Then again, something to brag about I guess.

Actually, an RB32 is cheaper than a full counter weight 26. Unless prices have come down you are looking at $8500 for a 26 or 28 fully counter weighted. Even after the BS of the adapter for the pan and whatnot, you are still cheaper and have an engine with a much broader and workable torque curve. Unfortunately with mountainous torque you will break stuff more easily.
