Well now that everything's completely torn down I'm waiting on a quote for my forged pistons and conrods before I decide what my final build is going to look like. Here's what's coming:

I'm going to be doing 2 builds now. Here's what's coming first:
Overbored to 78.5mm with new forged pistons and conrods
    Tomei metal head gasket
    ARP studs
    Nismo engine mounts
    Replacement stock turbo
    GIZZMO intake gasket
    OEM water pump
New oil pump, OEM or upgraded
    Trust or Nismo timing belt
New air filter, fuel filter, and anything that looks broken or worn
I'm going to break in the engine with just these upgrades so I don't have to worry about tuning upgraded parts during the break-in.

Post break-in 2nd build for the winter:
550 or 650 Deatschwerks fuel injectors
    Z32 MAF
    Upgraded fuel pump
New turbo, Greddy or HKS topmount if possible
NIStune chip to handle all my tuning needs

Bye bye cash, hello smiling every time i pick up my keys

Well, my block's in the machine shop today.
They're unsure about some scoring on 2 of the cylinders, so they're going to do a "test-overbore" of .4mm to see if .5mm will be enough in the end.
Fingers crossed! My new pistons are just waiting on this confirmation!

EDIT: overbore was just fine, new pistons should fit just fine

        looky what i got!

and here's my new engine bay paint job! looks kinda silvery in the pic but it's black, and i think it looks really sharp. should go really well with my electric blue engine covers!

Might wanna replace all your PS and coolant hoses while the engine is out!

            That's what I'm doing tomorrow.

oh god yes dude, i had a HUGE power steering leak before i took the engine out. i'm just replacing all rubber hoses in the engine bay that look even remotely questionable.

thanks! it's so hard to see lucy in pieces for so long but it'll all be worth it when she's completely cleaned up and powered up to race!

lol, indeed, CP does excellent work hands down. I was very impressed, certainly looks as though they do not fool around when making their products.

hey guys, i need your valuable input! since my engine bay is all painted and i found new bolts for all the little things that go in it, it's going back together. I'll probably put up a couple pics every couple days asking for your input.
                                for today...
does this look right? (the little silver box. wtf is it anyway?)
