Topmounts flow a lot better because the runners are all the same to the turbo, all the same length vs like a stock manifold. stock can handle 400hp np, but i want the better response and it just looks baller
oh polak... you and your silly ballerness...
but i must agree with having a topmount, it's only cool if you can SEEEEEEE the turbo ahhahaha
thats why paul walker puts his nos bottles on the passenger seat

Short exhaust runners like found on stock RB20 exhaust manifold make turbo respond quicker because there's less distance for exhuast gas to travel to reach and spin exhaust wheel on turbo and when mixed with small turbo, small intercooler, has alot of bottomend pickup, quick transient response when stepping on the throttle.
Longer exhaust runners are for more mid to high hp gain + 1psi less with stock turbo or less psi when fitted with bigger turbo, as boost drops at higher rpm's to near 0 and suit's bigger turbo with similar mid to high powerband.
Longer runners for racetrack, dragracing use, shorter runners for road use. But in saying that, a dude on this forum achieved 10.42sec 1/4 mile with stock RB20DET exhaust manifold and bigger T3/T4 turbo. The intake plenum seemed to be more restrictive than exhaust manifold. Also RB26 has short exhaust runners.
Some have produced up to nearly 500hp with stock exhaust manifold on RB25DET.
Do you have a link to that 10 second cars build thread? (assuming he has one...)

wow thats the exact turbo i want and ya that guy made some amazing 10 second runs with an rb20, i can't wait to get this done and i am sure i can do it for a lot less then 8000.
edit: skym i have not taken any pictures sorry. I forgot and it has been raining in vancouver for the last 14 days. i try to get it for tomorrow
i can do it under 8000, no way it will be more, i will add this up and if this build + the value of my car exceed 17,000 there is no way i would not pick up an r33 gtr.
It is much MUCH better than the stock silver he had. I say that and I don't particularly enjoy anything in silver.
Probably won't be updates for a bit. Don't think he's really digging into it for awhile...

the only update i can give is that i am still waiting from Adam at feast for gauges, oil temp, oil pressure, electronic boost, and water temp + AEM wideband. Dash is only coming out once and that is it. i want to update but no new parts as of right now. As a student all my money comes in during the summer.
I still owe skym BOV pictures, omg i am way more reliable then that usually and i apologize
I like the silver, but if i ever had to paint any car again, i would go colour shopping around local dealership showrooms. The Ztune silver looks different on paper or internet then in real life. Colour shopping is a must next time. Hopefully for my future gtr anyway
All i got to say is the colour looks really clean and i am pretty happy with it.
