  • yea, on older cars they make a difference. on a new car, if you need a grounding kit, thats proof the electrical engineering was flawed lol.
    old cars 100% makes a difference.

    most people report curing idle and stumble/hesitation problems.

      No effin clue! Honestly, ive asked that many times and no one seems to know.. I know Josh put one on his car without issues lol so i can honestly say it doesnt do any harm :P .. I guess it looks good? But really, i cant imagine it does much, if anything.

          I'm in the process of tucking any useless wires and a grounding kit would make me so pissed off LOL.

          I tested continuity w/ grounding wires going to ignitor and did not change it nor the circuit's resistance or voltage.

            Sick, thanks for the heads up!
            Ya i'm in the same boat lol.
            Tucking these damn wires is a real job .. Are you relocating your fuse box?? I look at these wires and cringe..

            • fusebox, as much as I hate it, I have no place to put it. I still intend my car to be passenger and road trip friendly and full use my gloveboxes.

              If you look @ my project thread, you'll notice all my wires on the right side of the engine has no visible wires. (MAF, O2 sensor, engine harness etc)

              When I have some time I'll tackle the injector wires but I'm just gonna resort to making a carbon shield/cover to hide all the ignition related wires along the manifold.

              Even the headlight wiring behind the headlights pisses me off, I'm going to just make carbon plates to hide those fuxxor away.

              • ---------------------------------------------------

                So a few nice goodies coming in next week..

                A Lincoln 175 TIG and a "King" 4 post 8000lbs car lift..

                May be picking up a small MIG for tacking but we'll see how the TIG is for control.

                I'm excited because 1, i have a TON of stuff i can now do on my car that i could never do, and 2. i have a ton of epic ideas for GB's that will be coming out shortly in the next few months.. Huge business proposal was worked out early this week, so i have a ton of R&D to look into and will be contacting various people in the UK and Aus to see what kind of interest i can spark.. Development of my projects should begin more 'fully' by mid December, so expect pics and updates moreso around then..

                ---------------------------------------------------

                Well i forgot i went to school.. sooo.. i had to catch up with that for the last while!

                Havent gotten too much done lately but today i decided to tackle;

                1. Remove intake side of motor;
                Plenum/runner/fuel rail and etc are all gone

                2. Begin building a battery relocation kit
                .. Grabbed 20 ft of 4awg, 2awg ground and terminals as well, i went with an inline fuse @ 30 amps.
                The final product will be posted (once the welders here ) and will be part of my future GB

                3. Being finishing off the interior

                Well as Mike knows, wires suck.. And if theres anything i hate, it's morons who think electrical tape > solder, and that cutting the wire the proper lengths is for turds..

                Case in point;

                So far that's what i've found and yanked NOT including what i brought home the first day! WTF?!? Since my scale broke im sad to say its based on subjectivity, but i'd say like 6-7 lbs of wiring..

                Before;

                After;

                Before;

                After;

                .. REALLY??! REALLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?

                I mean come on.. they're 4x6.. not 8x12.182.. It's a pretty common size you c*nt nugget!...

                Anyways.. i knew these were there from the beginning, but only now they decide to piss me off.. They're blown anyways, and have ZERO low end..

                Replacing with these;

                And the rears to match..

                Powered by a pioneer 4 channel, 400 rms.. Meh. Light enough, but still sound good enough to not have to run a small woofer for the lows.

                anyways! so that was my day..

                Hopefuly once i get these essays and exams out of the way i'll be able to concentrate more energy on my build..

                ------------------------------------

                Have decided to run my stock top/bottom end for this season while i build my 23 (which has started!)

                Plan is;

                Tomei 1.2mil HG
                Tomei Poncams
                Tomei Valve Springs
                Greddy Timing belt
                Mild head porting
                Rebuild RB25 with 2871/76 CHRA
                ARP Headstuds
                Apex'i Power intake

                AMS; FUCA/RUCA and brake kit (front and rear slotted rotors + pads)
                Coilovers.. Debating still.

                • not sure about the 30amp fuse.. the starter motor pulls much much more than 30amp by itself

                    Right... Probably something like 200-300 amps eh.. Not sure what our current draw is on startup.

                          • Danger to manifold!!! Hehe sorry I had to. That sounds like a wicked idea Marc. Nice job on the cleanup aswell, you motivate me to do more things to my ride.
                            Traction is optional, so are zipties
