Are you still using FRAM filters? I wouldn't touch them after seeing this:
He's not the only one too, but his dissapointment and hard breathing makes it more memorable.
Nice build man!
He risked his life to bring to us this compelling story.. He died 3 minutes later of respiratory failure...
Interesting! It wouldn't deter me to from buying them, however it will be on my concscience from now on..
Options in that thread pitch? I'm open to ideas! However they must be applicable in store - not interested in ordering effin filters off the internet.. unless the savings are epic.. and the filters are gold plated, or purple.
Thanks man! appreciate it!

well you can buy KN filter at KNS autosport 2 min away from autowork. He made me a sick deal because i was buying like 20 liters of redline oils. something like 30% off. but I will try royal purple next time. don't care if i have to order online. i always do anyways lol
Need detailing done to your car? I'm open to travel to detail your car :
Most performance (or adequate) filters use metal endcaps with coil spring loaded diaphragms. FRAM uses a peice of sheetmetal as a leafy-spring and a rubber gasket as a diaphragm. The whole thing is built to crumble.
Edit: NAPA uses the same manufacturer as Wix, they're both sharing the top reviews.

Hmm good call.. Seems like a pretty typical trend with Fram filters. Thanks for the info man.
I'll look into the Napa's as there's a retailer nearby.. Is there a specific application for this filter? Civic, 300zx, 240 etc?

Not sure how many cars it's for but it's the recommended part number for RB26s. I assumed it's the same filter for your HCR because it's looks like the same size of your FRAM in the picture.
Ah ok! just curious because if you tell them "Rb20" or "skyline" at the counter, you get the typical "Quoi?!".. and for some strange reason they ALWAYS request the car as a reference because they're too lazy to find items by #.. cheeses me off..
But yea, if it fits an rb26, then we're good as gold!

4AGZE from the AE92 levin are forged stock, i just need to find a set of pistons/rings for that application. I believe i'll also need the rb26 rods to be paired to the pistons as well.. I think the piston wrist pin is a different diameter.
Questions;
Necessary to use new valves?
Necessary to change oil pump?
How is the RB26 crank clearance in the RB20 block?
I know where there is a 4AGZE. Complete if your on the hunt. See what I can get you those pistons.
As for the valves. Do a leak down test to see if they are worn in any significant way. If they seal up Id leave em. Less work.
Not sure about the 20 cuz its been a while but the std 26 oil pump has a full drive. So with a collar you can still use original pump. I cant remember if the rb20 were only suited for narrow drive?
I think the crank drops right in from what i've heard. To check 100%, there are 2 sets of numbers stamped on the first counter weight on the crank. Look in the FSM and match the number to nissan specific bearing. Look up bearing and there is your size. The engine block has numbers stamped where the oil pan bolts to it. Look up that number same as previous. Size might be in the FSM too. Just cant remember. Its in the engine section in the fsm.
Next time you have to get out the sound liner, go to baskin robbins and buy some dry ice. Pops right off 100% clean. Ive done it your way a few times in the past and I will never ever do it the hammer and chisel way again :P Then its ready for paint. Looks factory.

Awesome man! Let me know what the 4agze is up to, i might just snag those!
Thanks for the heads up on that part.

What have i been up to.. hmmmm
Available soon
Pulling some goods out of the motor.. Time has been scarce with a lot of projects/school so this is what i've come to.
I debated forEVER about keeping this.. but then i was on the phone with tyler, and he brought it up... literally 10 minutes later i did this;
Hoses and bolts are ~2.5 kg / Condensor 3.5kg / Pump.. wont weigh on my scale TOO HEAVYZZ but i think its 25-30 lbs?
Anyways.. it will be.. slightly? missed.. Only because it was never charged, so i have no idea what its like.. Lol My gf will not be pleased with this on our roadtrip down south.. oh well!
Bumpers off, so is the garden edging lol
Carbon lip to come..
OH NO!! Coolant??
Scared me too, then i remembered all the oil i dumped into it before flushing the coolant.. whew..
OH! And this! hahaha
SON OF A B*TCH!!
So it was rubbing on my frame.. I guess engine tq coupled with bumps and other, caused this little guy..
It all began at the first UR event this year.. i could tell something was up as i wasnt hitting full boost anymore, i was just shy, something like 13.8.. So ya, this answers my question... No lean condition on full boost/high rpm, which is good. Also good to have a wideband to monitor such :P

50/50 Ac man, 50 mph with the windows 50 percent down! I like the sad panada pipe aswell. Can't wait to see this lip action, wait.. No pun intended. Are you going to delete the ugly metal power steering loop out front aswell?
