^^^ you're such a keener Neal. I'm busy writing these mags no time to read hehe. I was at the Time Attack, so I though I knew how the interview would play out, I was WRONG.
But c'mon Eric calling out a World Challenge team out for only a grip? That is like their bar tab from the night before the race. Maybe up it to $10-large and they would have played.
The call-out was awesome though regardless...I love that move!

Yeah, that came straight out of the street racing days. I could go on all day about the GMG guys. Their excuse was that they didn't have enough fuel and tires. ????? C'mon, what top level racing team doesn't have a few 50 gallon drums of race fuel and plenty of spare tires in the transporter? And, if they were so confident that they would still beat us, then why not take the $1000 and run? We were actually willing to disqualify ourselves from the event, just to run one more time. But c'mon Eric calling out a World Challenge team out for only a grip? But anyway, the article in SS was great. If you know Eric, then you know that's how he speaks his mind.Greg

What up guys? As I'm sure you guys know, I'm new to this forum. Or most any forum for that matter. I see some of you guys read my interview. Glad you enjoyed it. For the record, I didn't know it was going to come out all "gangsta" and stuff. They just did it and now friends, co-workers, people in the industry clown me pretty hard. Anyhow, it's all in good fun. They edited out some and added a few words here and there to mellow the interview out, but for the most part it's what I said.
Anyhow, just wanted to say hi and see what was going on around here. Hopefully I can help you guys out here and there and hopefully you'll be interested in some of our upcoming RB26 engines.Eric Hsu

Sorry guys, no posters as of yet. I think later in the year when the car is absolutely dominant, and we've sorted out the aero, then maybe we'll make some posters. Posters are expensive to make so we want to make them count!
This community seems pretty cool. What I like about it is that people on here actually have skylines. A lot of BNR32's which are my favorite too. I have a wine red BNR32 myself as I am as much of a GTR enthusiast as a tuner. Realistically when you go to the American GTR forums there's a bit too much of "motorex burned me", "hey there's another R34 on ebay!", "i blew up my RB26 becaus so and so tuned it", or "who's R33 was that on highway 33?". There are good discussions on the American forums, but I think there are a lot more GTRs in Canada as a whole and ultimately that makes for a better and broader potential for interesting discussion.
Americans have yet to appreciate professional tuning like they do in Japan. Other than that American tuning as a whole is not that refined either; especially when it comes to GTRs. There are so many people blowing their RB26's that its ridiculous. It is such as strong motor that there should not be as many blown engines as there are in the states. Of the 70+ GTRs we've tuned, we have yet to blow one.
With that being said, all of you Canadian GTR owners should stick to professional tuners! That is assuming you have some people up there who are capable.Eric Hsu

You supply the money, I'll build you anything. Sorry, we do not sponsor anything or anybody at this time. Otherwise, we don't build a drift car because of the subjective judging. What if the judge doesn't like you or your company? Tough $hit I guess. We stick to tuning drift cars, but to dump a bunch of money into a sport where there's subjective judging is just idiocy (at least in my book).Originally posted by canadianskylineYou guys are dope. Now build a drift car and let me drive it....better yet...just start sending me parts for mine....

As for your view on the judging, I can see where you're coming from (there is a lot of drama in FD), but you shouldn't have anything to worry about unless you've pissed some people off. It is more often than not very cut and dried who is the winner and who isnt. But oh well, we dont need to get into it.
As far as you guys building me something, I'll have to pass.
