That's true, and I understand that. The part about caring what people think is fine, there are a lot of people who buy cars just to look cool.
However using a video game to judge whether a car looks good or not or only caring that a car is fine as long as it doesn't "tip over" when cornering seems a bit too naive in my books, meh.
Another time was with a friend of mine, his neighbor asked what minivan he should get. My friend said to get a Toyota Sienna - a week later the neighbor came home with a Ford Windstar. What a piece of crap, it had so many issues and they got rid of it a couple years later and got the Sienna.
Their comment: "Wow, this is a great van, no problems at all!"
My friend: "Yeah... maybe you should've gotten this in the first place... "
