Turns out they are allowing us to import anything older than 25years old...I guess the R30 and R31 will be on my hitlist. Screw having to buy an R32 or any RHD when some guy thinks it's worth "oh so much more" because you can't plate them anymore.
Saving up for that R30 RS-X or 2000GT-EX
Next on the list are the R31 GTS-R and X

Sorry to hear that, its a real bummer.
now is definetly the time to buy as many RHD vehicles as you can if you are in other provinces... cause if this sweeps our nation there is potential for big profitHow many kids with A.D.D. does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Like anything else, demand for these cars will dwindle because bigger and better things await in the future. Sure the price will go up, but not everyone will buy these cars, just because they are the last ones allowed in Canada (when the time comes).
The world is not going to end, move on and lets all find something else.

A C-Plated KEI truck pulled up to me today while i was in my R32.. I'm not sure if he was frantically waving at me because we were both coincidentally sitting on the right hand side, or if he was in sheer terror of getting onto highway 20 in a vehicle designed to haul bananas and fish around the market at 10 km/h..
I couldn't help but think; this is what it had come to.Check out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!

Didn't read though this but its a report from the Quebec Government about RHD cars. I didn't read it as my french is pretty bad and it would take me at least a day to read. Heres the link: http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/publicati...ant_droite.pdf

so this is the route they're taking then...
it basically is the results of a survery they conducted, it concludes to say that:
"we have found that in the category of 'sport - right hand drive' vehicles, when compared to similar 'sport - left hand drive' vehicles, RHD vehicles were found to be having more accidents!
men between the ages of 16 - 19 had 28% more accidents in 2007, and 37% more accidents in 2008
men between ages 20 - 24 had 19% more accidents in 2007 and 52% more accidents in 2008
men between ages 25 - 34 had 23% more accidents in 2008 and 30% more accidents in 2008
*the part they don't discuss in the conclusion is how the study (earlier on in the pages burried in the middle of the document) actually shows that in 2009 its the comparable left hand drive vehicles who are having more accidents, by a factor of about 10%!!!
they say since the marratorium banning RHD in qc was present for 2009, thats the reason there were fewer accidents.
i really hope the people from our side are doing their own research, the SAAQ used carfax as one of their sources.. carfax has been known and proven to have more false information on vehicles then it has true info! The SkyLife Community & News Website --> http://www.skylife4ever.com

Here's a rundown I made while quicly skimming through it:
- RHD vehicle identification was made via the VIN number, year and model of JDM vehicles. They quickly noticed that the majority of these vehicles were sports cars, and regrouped them in the “Sport – RHD” category. Each VIN was verified to ensure that the vehicle corresponded to a JDM vehicle. From this exercise, 39 vehicles were excluded. Table 1, page 10 of the PDF.
- The choice of comparable LHD vehicles used in the study was taken from a list provided by the l’Association des propriétaires de véhicules importés du Québec (APVIQ), http://www.apviq.ca/. [On a side note, APVIQ meet with the SAAQ yesterday to discuss their report, but they haven’t provided an update on their website yet.] From this, they created the “Comparable – LHD” category.
- Annex 2, page 35 shows the vehicles used for the "Sport - RHD" category. Annex 3, page 36 shows the different models used for the "Comparable - LHD" category.
- For men aged between 16-34, the “Sport – RHD” category presented an increased risk of accident vs the “Comparable – LHD” category, by 22% and 41% for the years of 2007 and 2008 respectively. The average of those two years was 32%.
- Furthermore, for the years 2007 and 2008, the increased risk of accidents for the “Sport – RHD” category vs the “Comparable – LHD” category was analyzed for these different age groups: “16-19”, “20-24” and “25-34”.
- Without taking into account sex and age, the increased risk of accident for the “Sport – RHD” category vs the “Comparable – LHD” category was 101% and 137% for the years 2007 and 2008 respectively. The average of those two years was 119%.
- 95% (2024/2130) of the vehicles from the category “Sport – RHD” are owned by men.
- From these 2024 vehicles, 91% (1835/2024) are owned by men aged between 16-34.
- Table 2, page 18 of the PDF shows the numbers for the different age categories and vehicle categories by year.
- Men aged 16-19 showed an increase of 28% for 2007 and 37% for 2008 in the “Sport – RHD” category vs “Comparable – LHD” category. (page 19)
- Men aged 20-24 showed an increase of 19% for 2007 and 52% for 2008 in the “Sport – RHD” category vs “Comparable – LHD” category. (page 20)
- Men aged 25-34 showed an increase of 23% for 2007 and 30% for 2008 in the “Sport – RHD” category vs “Comparable – LHD” category. (page 21)
- For all categories, the numbers for the year 2009 are incomplete, since it was the year of the ban. They show no significant difference between the “Sport – RHD” category and “Comparable – LHD” category.
- Bodily harm vs material damages. Of the 186 accidents reported for the “Sport – RHD” category, 28.5% involved bodily harm. For the “Comparable – LHD” category, this represents 30.4% of the 1516 accidents reported.
- A Separate study (Annex 6, page 34), showed that regional location had little impact on the percentages, and therefore was not taken into account.
- For the “Comparable – LHD” category, the Honda Civic Si/SiR, from 2007-2009 represented 45.7% of the vehicles. In order to determine if this specific model would have influenced the percentages, the numbers were recalculated with the Civic Si/SiR excluded. The difference was a mere 0.7%, and therefore negligible. This shows that when looking at the “Comparable – LHD” category only, the Civic Si/SiR by itself had the same percentage of accidents as all the other models taken together.R32 GTR FULL SERVICE MANUAL DOWNLOAD:

For anyone who's interested in following the discussions, you should go read this thread on APVIQ:
It's in french though.
They're essentially debating why the stats are just crap since the sample taken was too small, and the numbers are affected by variability as a result. Which would explain the significant jumps in rates between 2007-2008 (from 19% to like 51% in certain cases).
And that the year 2009, which has the most number of RHDs in it, with less variability, is more representative of the actual %, but that the SAAQ's excuse for not taking it into account is a bunch of ********.R32 GTR FULL SERVICE MANUAL DOWNLOAD:
