On the first page, regarding Quebec, it was posted:
IN QUEBEC:
1. Get a transit by showing these 3 documents:
- Bill of sale *copy*
- Import form *original*
- De-registration (english translated) *copy*
2. Pay 7,5% of provincial tax
3. Have an out of province inspection (vérification mécanique CAA) 80$
4. Pay for a year immatriculation (250-300$)
5. Get an evaluation of the vehicule (insurance)
6. Pay the insurance based on the evaluation
Now comes the questions to get everything clear in my head...
1.) I have the bill of sale....no question here.
2.) The import form (I'm assuming) is the Canada Customs forms?
3.) The de-registration, again assuming, that this is your Export Certificate, correct?
4.) Will a valid Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle inspection be sufficient for the OOP?
5.) WTF is immatriculation? ....your plate/registration?
6.) Will basic Quebec insurance be needed before I go into the DMV?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide....my CRX NEEDS to be registered.....SOON!
