I would SO LOVE to work on more JDM, I think it's a nice market and I, for sure, prefer to work on Skylines than any other japanese car ( toyota camry, for exemple)

But at the moment, I'm trying to find exotic customer... well exotic; anything in the +100 000$ range or a sweet black Acura NSX :P

So.. le défi est-il réussi?

On me dit qu’on viens d’acheter cette Honda Odyssey et qu’on voudrait que l’intérieur soit plus clean.. Voyons voir de quoi elle a l’air!

I was told this Odyssey has been bought not long a go and the interior needed to be cleaned. Let see the condition! To be honest, I was scared of the actual condition of the car knowing that this car came from the same guy who brought me this corolla... !! lol

Tous le travail a été fait avec mon extracteur aka la machine à tapis ( lol!)

















À ma grande surprise, elle était en très mauvaise condition. Alors, voici ce qu’on peut appeler un vraie défi car restaurer une family van de 10 ans est selon moi beaucoup plus difficile que faire une voiture de 2 ans..

At my surprise, this van was really trashed as you can by the pictures, that’s what a call a challenge. Let’s see what I can do.

I start by the floor mats

Correction :

En utilisant ma lumière de 3456442098 lumens, vous voyez bien l’état de la peinture

Using my uber hyper high rated lumens light, you can clearly see the condition of the paint.

Je peux pas faire des miracles quand c’est super blanc comme ça, trop profond, mais voyons voir pareil. / I can’t do miracle when it’s deep like this but let still see what i can do.

Petit detail:

C’est une accumulation de petit detail qui font la difference, non?

I think it’s a numbers of small detail that really stand out from the average detailer and the good one ( Note : I didn’t say pro, I don’t want to offend anyone here)

Nettoie le compound accumulé dans les portes / Removing compound stock in door jam.



Vous voyez le restant de poli dans la fente de la lumière !? / See the white residu stock on the tailight?

Poli et cire les intérieurs de portes / Polish and wax door jam


J’aime comment tous le monde polissent leurs peintures avant d’appliquer une cire, mais quans vient le temps d’appliquer un Aquapel, ils ne polissent jamais les vitres / I love how everyone polish their paint before applying a wax but never do the same for their windows and aquapel..

Je poli la vitre avant chaque application d’aquapel :

Et bien sur, je scelle les roués / and let’s not forget the wheel sealant between each single spoke..

B]Here,s my third Nighthawk blue from Honda in one week. Did I say I love this paint? Well guess I’m a lucky man haha! For this car, the owner wanted the absolute best, 99% correction on the paint and interior completely done. Let’s see how it goes..[/B]

Condition initiale:







Préparation de la voiture en utilisant la CobrAAA’s technique. / Prepping the car using my own CobrAAA’s technique.

On utilise un fusil à mousse avec une solution plus corsé / Foaming the car using a stronger solution ratio.



Après, je lave les roues avec le Sonax wheel cleaner, chère, mais combien efficace! Lors de présence de particule de freins, le savon tourne mauve. / After, I wash the wheel using the expensive Sonax wheel cleaner, when it’s in contact of brake dust it turns purple.



J’ote le badge dégueulasse du concessionaire avec les bon produits conçu pour la colle et avec un grattoir en plastique pour ne pas endommagé la peinture. / I always debagde using a dedicated glue remover and plastic scrapper so I never damage the paint while I do it. I worked 6 month debadging 20 ft trunk, I know how to do it lol!





Après c’est le temps de décontaminé la peinture / It’s time to decontamined the paint with a clay bar. Everything on the car is clayed.




Maintenant, on passe à l’intérieur:

Je présavonne les spots plus tachées / I do a pre-stain first.



Pendant ce temps je lave les tapis / While the floor pre-soak the soap, I wash the floor mats

Les portes ont aussi besoins d’attention!


Et quand la job est fini, je me ramasse avec cette belle eau noir. J'en connais aussi qui ont commencé à copier ce style de photo, c'est un signe de flaterie / When I’m done, I always need to flush that nasty brown water 

This car was detailed by someone else last year and since the onwer drive the car in the winter he wanted it back to his prestine condition. However, I told him a 1-step wouldn’t do much on a warm-colored car that drive in the winter!


Alors, je commence par débadgé le chrome trim:


Je me ramasse pogner avec de petite bout de colle dans des crevisses si petites que seule mon ongle peut y accèder LOL.. ça la été long mes amis!!




Au final haha!


La voiture avait aussi des lignes de colle noir sur CHAQUE coté des collants, vous voyez le genre de job LOL !?

All decals had this black residue along the white lines. That’s dirt who sticked on the glue.

J’applique après un scellant à métal / I then apply a metal sealant.

Et après le moteur est traité anti-static et conditionneur à hose. / Engine hose and plastic is then treated and here’s the final result.

Polishing the windows before applying Aquapel right? Remember what I said before?


Je m’assure qu’aucun résidu reste sur l’auto. Au lieu de m’assurer que mes photos sont en 720p ou en 1080p, je préfère m’attarder aux petit détail sur la voiture, comme la colle noir, le polissage et scellant sur tout le métal, le polissage des vitres, cirer les intérieurs de portes etc! / Just making sure no white residu is left on the car. Instead of focusing in knowing if my picture is in 720p or 1080p HD, I rather concentrate on those small extra details, (i.e: black glue along the decal, polishing windows before aquapel, polishing and metal sealant on all chrome accessories, doing the wheel well, waxing door jam etc.




C’est une thechnique que j’aime bien, on appele ça faire le papillon ou la fille facile ( hihi), on ouvre tous pour s’assurer qu’il n’y a pas de résidu dans les fentes!

Joe want to sell his TL and he asked me to have it cleaned before sealing it.(wise move Joe!). He also tried it to do correction with the DA but after 2 days he gave up :P so here I am!

BTW, I must say I love this color!!! It’s so sick! Nighthawk Black Pearl!

Before:

Swirled but I’ve seen worst! However notice the lack of gloss and reflection for a black car.

L’auto a de bonne swirls présente, mais j’ai vue pire, par contre, elle manqué beaucoup de gloss, on ne voit même pas le pearl de la voiture.








Headlight need polishing.

Remarquez le produit tourne mauve sang, c’est le sonax qui fait effet, au contact de particule de poussière de freins, il change de vert à mauve.





J’utilise toujours des brosses qui ne scratchs pas, mais surtout QUI PASSE-PARTOUT



Paint is in good shape! That’s important to measure the thickness on Japanese paint because usually they are very thin!



Now let’s see the correction!

Voici une voiture qui m’as été référer et je me devais de faire un travail à la hauteur. L’auto a environ 1 ans, donc le propriétaire voulait faire disparaitre les petites swirls de l’hiver. Je crois c’est mission réussi.

Treatment :
2 bucket wash
Clay bar
2-step polish
Long-lasting wax

It’s not bad, but it’s still missing some shine :P

Ironiquement, il m’a avoué que ce qu’il préférait sur ce detail était le détail des roues haha! Oh well.. enjoy !

It was raining outise hence why the car is soaking wet but you can’t still get an idea of the car.





That car need a serious clay job !!

Maintenant, vue que ce n’était qu’un 2-step, `ca ne changeait pas grand-chose à ma préparation, mais tout de même, l’auto a été repeinturé

Car was been repainted, how I know ? Well.. my paint gauge is here to tell me those things.







Engine shampoo:

Il y a beaucoup d’anti-rouille, évidemenent, je ne pourrais pas faire de miracle la-dessus.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of anti-rust, I won’t be able to remove all of it but at the same time, why would I? He paid to have it rustproofed, why would I remove hen!?



After :





Wheels were cleaned and then I applied a wheel sealant to it. Not cutting corner, passing throught all spoke.



Polished the headlight:

Ma première S2000, je peux confirmer que tous comme les corvettes se sont des autos qui donnent mal aux genoux haha!

Le propriétaire aimerait pouvoir cirer sa voiture dans le futur, alors j’ai décider de lui mettre un scellant qui pourra topper par la suite par une cire.

Condition Initiale :







Voyons voir si on pourra améliorer la réflexion et le shine de la voiture!

Tout d’abord on passe la clay. Chose qui est toujours négliger par tous.



Une fois la correction terminée, évidemment, l’éclairage était vraiment pas au rendez-vous .. dommage!













Les roues ont reçu un scellant spécialement conçu pour les roues.

6) Extra care :

Ici, je m’occupe de protéger les roues, de détailler les intérieurs de roue, le pneu, polissage de vitre+ aquapel etc etc.. Une accumulation de petit détail qui fait tous la différence!

So, I tried wet-sanding the headlight but too bad, the haze is inside the lens. It can’t get any better than this.

Voici ce que j’ai utilise pour le sablage des phares. Dommages le dommage est à l’intérieur du plastique!
