I ran into some problems with this car ; the paint was way too soft for a bmw. The owner have the complete history and I took reading with my paint gauge and it look correct. Car hasn’t been repainted but with this one is so soft !? Microfiber could marr the paint. It was a nightmare!

So the owner came to me by saying the paint has been polished before but holograms and swirls were still very present on the car and he wanted that gone.

Process:
5-step polishing ( After the first 2-step, I had to start again.. so I end up doing a 5-step total but only a ‘’real.’’ 3-step)

ONR Wash
Clay bar
Paint inspecting with the ptaint thickness gauge
Interior done with leather 2-step treatment
Matt protector
76% Waxxon’s wax!

Process :

Wash avec le foam gun et 2 bucket.
Décontaminant au clay bar
2-step polish
Paint cleaner
Sealant.

• I must apologize in advance, my camera died right after the second pictures so I took my Galaxy smartphone to take pictures. Not the best but oh well! At the end, what it matters is that both, the owner and I are happy about the job. *

Foaming the car to remove a first layer of dirt:

One side of the car has been repainted and overall the paint was REALLY THIN so I didn’t push my machine to extreme condition in order to preserve the clear coat! The goal with this 2-step was too make the paint ‘’even’’ between the unpainted and painted area:

As you can see, without the proper paint gauge, another detailer could’ve propably burn the clear coat if he wasn’t aware of the very thin thickness and went straight to a compound on a wool pad.














No before because with the phone, you wouldn’t of been able to properly see the paint anyways. So let jump to some after pictures:

Voici une 350z que j’ai attaqué la semaine passé. J’ai pas l’habitude de dire ça car je ne veux pas insulter personne, mais l’intérieur de cette voiture était un vrai cauchemar! Vous verrez pourquoi..

Pour l’intérieur, j’ai opté pour un wash/Paint cleaner ‘n wax.

À partir de maintenant, pour simplifier les choses, j’appelerais ça le Deluxe 2-bucket washing technique :

1) Je rinse la voiture

2) Ensuite, je mousse la voiture avec une solution concentré pour nettoyer plus intensivement :




3- Ensuite, je laisse la mousse faire son travail et je remplis mes 2x 5 gallons avec les 4 grit guards pour garder le plus de poussière dans le fond.

J’ai plusieurs savons, donc n’importe quel savon pour auto, en particulier, peut faire le travail, mais j’aime bien le Wolfgang shampoo.

4- Je rince encore.

5- Je lave la voiture avec une éponge de mer naturel :


6- Je nettoie les trims avec un APC et une brosse :


7- Pour les roues, j’utilise une brosse boar hair, une ez-brush et une autre brosse boar hair pour les lug nut, comme savon j’utilise le Sonax Wheel cleaner


8- On rinse

9- J’applique un décontaminant chimique. Très peu de gens font cette étape car elle est très dispendieuse, mais vous allez voir, elle est très efficace. Elle nettoie la peinture en profondeur et permet d’éliminer des particules de métal qui pourrait rouiller avec le temps et nuire au look de la peinture et la durabilité de la peinture :

13- Je prend des microfibres de qualité pour essuyer la voiture.

Et voilà, voici comment je prépare une voiture à être poli ou cirer!

This one took me like double times of what I usually take to do an interior! At the end, I’m still happy with the result. It look a lot more clean than it was before!

I must say I’m very pleased I met Sergei! Such a good guy, hope to deal with him again. Another thing, for a 100k kms car, I was very impress how good the car looked.

So because I thought the car looked pretty nice and Sergei have been a nice guy with me, I upgraded his wax for my uber premium Waxxon wax. Just a way to say I was happy to do business with him.

En plus, j’ai trouvé très rigolo Sergei, vraiment un gars down to earth et il a grandement apprécié mon travail. J’ai donc décidé de le remercier en lui offran ma cire exclusive 76% carnauba au lieu d’une autre cire du style Wolfgang Fuzion.
