Alright I just wanted to give you guys a little laugh this morning.
I've been going to our local drag strip lately, not to race but just to watch and in doing so I tend to get alot of attention becasue of the car(specially because they have never really seen it run), so I have a lot people asking me to race them, but I dont want to beat up on my car on the track, so usually when I turn down the offer they tend leave me alone..BUT theres this one guy who owns 93 honda prelude with high compression pistons and cams that is absolutely convienced that he can not only beat me, but would stretch me by a few car lengths. I mean it doesnt faze me when people talk **** right, but come on, this guy sends threats all day with people talkin bout how he wants to race for money and whatever and i just cant help but to laugh. I mean I dont even want to waste my gas on this guy.. I just dont understand what is with these honda owners man, is it just the VTEC that gives them such big bawls?

hahaha coming from being a honda owner with a very much done up car... I would NEVER even consider thinking I could beat a skyline especially a GTR lmao... and my old car (Yesss ollld i finalllly sold it and got MY GTR and got out of that hell hole of a honda world haha) anyways my old car had a ton done to it.. but even with a ton done to it, I still would be beat..

You should just race him once and put him in his place.. I hate cocky honda owners haha. The only advantage of honda's is if you do a lot to them (I had an engine swap and a turbo setup, etc etc etc) my gas mileage stayed the same haha.. 30$ to fill up with 94 and it lasted me 2 weeks. Anyways now I'm just going off topic..

haha okay i have something to admit to aswell, i my last project car was a EK3 with a B20 bottom end, 12:1 pistons, rods, head work, computer, the whole 9 yards . she was fast but i mean i couldnt imagine myself beating a gtr. lol my friends 34 gtr use to run pass me like i was in reverse. lol hes the reason i bought my gtr

haha and also i would have to race for his money, gas is expenive man, my car stays on strictly AV gas, that **** aint cheap.

Yeah, I'm +1 with Melissa...next time you're at the track, race this guy and put him in his place. He's not going to shut up unless you beat him. You'll waste a few cents on gas, but the satisfaction is much greater than having him keep hounding you, he's going to look terrible afterwards. Have you seen this guy run? What are his 1/4 pass times like? You should be able to spank his car. I think it might take a little more than high-comp pistons and lumpy cams for him to beat a Godzirra lol.

Because they sound loud and most likely, it's their first car. Once they feel a little bit of a pull coming from that car, they think "woah, im stupid loud, i can squeal tires, so MUST be able to beat anything" since they cant compare that "pull" to one of another car as they've never owned one. Run him man, who cares if you waste your time...have fun, it's better than sitting off to the sidelines lol.
