  • BeeR32 build from the ground up

Ok. This is going to take a while prob 2 years, first this is what the car looked like a month ago.

For some reason the last 2 photo's didn't have the car totally centered

I'm making the car for a weekend track warrior, and looking for about 700-800PS. I'm also doing an R34 tailight conversion to complete the kit.

    For mods up to date:
    -Suspension
    -Rims
    -front strut bar
    -short ram intakes
    -Turbo back exhaust
    -Koyo Rad
    -HKS roll cage
    -Takata Harnesses

So far I have removed most of the body panels, taken out the A/C, dropped the fuel tank(getting a custom fuel cell/rear diffuser), started to relocate the battery to the trunk, started making brake ducts.

Since I live in cold A** Edmonton, and my garadge is only 3/4 insulated, I'm not going to do too much to the car till it warms up, so I've been spending my time online learning lots about the car. I would like to send out ALOT of appreciation to everyone on this site that has helped me with a lot of much need info. I use to own a WRX and my knowledge is based off of that, so this car is still new to me. So Any tips along the way is REALLY helpful:hit newb:

This winter I plan to build the complete fuel system(with a diff/tranny cooler built in). Including, all new fuel lines front to back, fuel rail, regulator, filter and external pump. Also build a new aluminum support for the I/C and 2 oil coolers. Rear brake ducts, and possibly a front diffuser. New clutch/Flywheel (push/pull conversion). Remove the ABS, HICAS, and all other non-critical items. And at the same time graft on R34 taillights.

When I get home, I will post more pictures of the progress, but I won't update much untill spring.

Oh and how do I post pics directly onto the page without links?

Is the back seat still accessible?
I ask because I love the Bride LoMax seats, but I am afraid with roll cage I will lose access to the back seat if I get a set.
If you can take a pic with the seat forward, that would be killer.

      Thanks

I'm really liking the look, and can't wait to see how the R34 tails fit.

By the way, are those genuine Volk TE37 Time Attack rims? If so, nice!

Well 2 things, the mounts for the seats that i got barely fit, so it kind of pulls on the sliding frame, so it's REALLY hard to slid the seats forward and back. I'm sure if I ground out the holes for the bolts to the frame it would have worked better, but I gutted my back seats so I don't need to get back there.

And FYI the HKS cage that I got, has a bar that goes from the passenger side wheel well to the drivers side b-pillar so I guess if you padded it up it wouldn't kill the people in the back seat, but really the person behind the driver is the only person that could site comfortably.

And if you plan to have people in the back seat then you cant have harnesses. ANd if you want harnesses you have to add another bar that runs from each wheel well to tie the harnesses onto. Otherwise if you try to mount the harnesses like some guys do in the magazines where they use the lower rear seat seat belt bolts; in an accident the harnesses will break your back. And the track officials will not let you drive the track with that set up.

So my problem is those low max seats are not FIA approved because there 2 peice, so I would be willing to trade someone for FIA approved red bucket seats. My seats are only 5 months old and are in mint condition. I paid about $2500 W/O brackets a seat but PM me if anyone is intrested to swap.

Ah well, it happens. Those are fantastic rims though, very rare!

Have you given any thought to the go-fast bits yet? And any target for the weight reduction?

For weight.... I have to check the WCMA rules but I'm thinking 2500lbs... I think the stock R32 is 3200lbs???? So far I have removed the A/C, most of the interior, changed the seats, dropped the stock tank and will be adding a fuel cell. Next is the HICAS, ABS, Charcol Cansitor, Removed the door guts, and complete the roll cage. I think that It will only get me to 2800lbs if I'm lucky, so I might just strip the car to the frame like that crazy thread, and only add what is needed.

For Power, I'm looking at the TOMEI 2.8, 700PS turbos, Mabey a V-mount I/C, Nismo Clutch, not sure about diffs, F-Con Pro, HKS V-Cam....

Main goal is 700-800ps, but I still have to go over the ruel book to check the different classes. Not sure if I'm going to keep it a weekend warrior, or full blown track car.

id suggest a PowerFC over the hks f-con v-pro... no one in western canada can tune it.

but starting with almost 30K car. and doing this up is crazy... you should buy my MWR34 when im finished.. as a daily driver.

Not true, a shop called RCTS in calgary can tune them. I think they are the only HKS pro dealer in western canada.

                              No build thread.
