What's the part number for that ATI damper? I have a 600hp+ damper and was just curious what the difference was. Also, how did the ARP main stud clearance go? It looks like you just chopped down the studs?

I got a Lincoln Electric C300 Powerwave for xmas so i am gonna teach myself to weld buy doing some light fabrication of brackets for the GTR. eventually i will spot weld the towers and engine bay to help increase rigidity.

Mig, Tig and Arc all in one machine.C300 PowerWave Ready-Pac

gonna design and fab up a catch tank bracket, coolant header tank bracket, fuel pump bracket and a air scoop for my oil cooler. i guess my first project should be a welding table.

does anyone know of a good source for steel and aluminum stock in Kelowna,BC

thanks felix. i read you are going 2.6l, i guess we both dropped the 3l idea. way to complicated for not enough gain. just removed the hood, fenders and bumper today to prep for my engine removal. would like to paint my engine bay while i am at it, got inspired by yours

today i removed my radiator, oil cooler and crank bolt. 1/2" breaker bar and a jack handle.
i tried the engine starter flick tric but it did not have the power to crack the bolt loose.

next i will remove the turbos

Wow! Looking good, wish I had that kind of $$ to spend on mine...that will be even more of a monster when you are done. You're not cheaping out on anything, doing it right! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I have been building it since October 2004, taking my time, doing it right. when you take your time you find great deals and are able to research the best way to do things. my only regret is putting red-line shockproof in my transmission when it did not need it, that shite eats your syncros because they are brass.

                        long time since last update....

I have reinstalled the motor, transmission and am just finishing up some little installation bits before firing her up for the first time.

in the end i deleted the PS system and heater, finding a spot for a proper PCV system is proving difficult. my ProVent 200 is LARGE!!!

BTW the 2001 GT-FOUR 5Spd is exactly the same as the GTR 5Spds. bolted right up.

Still looking for a manual steering rack, thinking of getting Maval gear to custom make me one.

Did you use the GT4 transfer case or GTR's transfer case?

GT4... its exactly the same, it was just the control system that differs. now i have a spare.

                            i meant a r34 gt-four right not a celica gt-four

BTW -- moving ahead with the Maval Unisteer custom rack, will post how it turns out

I meant to ask if the R32 GT-R Transfer Case bolts up to the R34 GT-4 Transmission. Or you just used the R34 Transmission as well as the R34 transfer case as whole to replace the the R32 Tranny and R32 transfer case.

yea as a whole unit, they are both identical. 2001 GT-Four Neo Rb25de non turbo 2.5L, i guess they had left over 5spd they were trying to use up, since the GTR's switched to the 6.
