  • When you said your subframe went up an inch, how did that work... didn't the collar/aluminum bushing thing go on the bottom of the sub? If the subframe didn't actually go closer to the car (trimming something from the top), then nothing changed, just the location of the lower nut!

    • Subframe came out. Bushings completely replaced with aluminum ones. They are about an inch shorter on the top. Which raises the subframe closer to the car that much.

Noticable difference as i used to be able to jack it up by the diff and i could get jack stands under the frame rails. No longer can.

      • I comment on everyone of your updates but solid work on the porper lines/ fittings. I know what you mean about the fuel line, still looks good man, no sence in spending another 50$ in fittings just to hide it under or around the plenum.

I think you should get a turbo blanket to heat with heat treatment, gold member looks good.

          • page 20 still wont work for me!! wtf.... i click on 20 or click next. it just goes to/stays on page 19.

anyways i took like a billion photos of my work on my kit to fit it but ill maybe include that later.

finishing up on last update the intercooler piping didnt fit. had to cut out 3". very easy task.

got a bunch of stuff. only the kit is for my skyline. the rest is for my mark II.

            its like christmas

                • soooo i lost my camera for like 2-3 months. been kinda updating facebook. so some of them are my facebook cell pics.

since last update i got it registered and out of the garage. driving it. it handles amazing with the suspension work done. so smooth and predictable.

as you will see by this pic i got a new front lip. factory didnt match my aggressive sideskirts and rear bumper. picked up
darryls fancy rocket dancer lip. still gotta paint it.

                  before paint

                  finished engine bay and interior

so after all this work i had to align it.

went and got it done and my buddy (mechanic) wanted us to take it for a test and see how it feels.
well it drove straight as an arrow. buttttttt everytime i hit a bump it would dance around. scary as hell.
so i thought about it and ok it has some epic bump steer with it being low.

                  ordered these.

so it had it all apart and when putting the tie rods in i realized that every single ball joint in the front end was shot.
both tie rods end were toast. and the inner control arm joints were so shot that they rattled like a baby rattle when shaking them. surprised they didnt come apart while driving. so had to order all that. already had fancy outer tie rods tho

i never grabbed pics of tie rod install but ill grab some later.
                  started with rca's.
used a hammer and a socket extension to hit out the studs. very very simple install.

and boom. finished. look great. perform even better.

now the morning i went to take it for another alignment i backed up and noticed this little dead guy under my car. not sure how he got there.

painted the kit and also picked me up a new winter car. GTiR

had a local autocross event and i was so pumped my car was ready. got best times in my class. and best part. i had fun.

                  until..........................

still not sure what happened. on my way home from autocross my car started running like it was on 3 cylinders.
pulled over and listened to it. sounded fine all of a sudden. then again started running funny this time making a rattling noise. ohhhh great i blew my motor..

so i towed it home. pulled it apart and couldnt find anything wrong in the head (thought the rattling was valve lash).
i had blown a rad hose tho. coolant everywhere. spilled on my alternator too. so fixed that. did a compressioin test and everything checked out fine. wtf....

got fed up with finding an issue. put it back together and started it. ran perfect. hasnt given me troubles yet.. still confused on that one. only thing i can think of was electrical shorting from the coolant splash.
