Started prepping some bottom end bits tonight. Helped gap my roomy rings tonight, and we gonna do mine tomorrow and assemble the rods and pistons together. My crank should be ready end of this week , fingers crossed.
Well if its so easy, come with me this year and see how you do ;P
Actually Rob, where do you track Id like to try something bigger than AutoX
I used to do some drag racing in Ontario and out west. I just find the excitement, challenge and almost zen like feeling isn't even remotely close to the experience found on a road course.
We have a really fun circuit about 45 mins from here in Shubenacadie...
Some friends and I also travel to tracks in New York, New Hampshire, Quebec and hopefully this year to Ontario.
Trust me. There is NOTHING like hitting almost 260 km/h chasing a Porsche Cup Car down into the bust stop at Watkins Glen. Thats what a GTR is all about.
Well.... That looks awesome, do a detailed thread, I'll look back to this later, I like that spline drive
How are you checking your bearing clearances?
When I get to that step Ill plastigauge, but the machine shop checked everything over, and other that a .002 runout, everything looks good and needed nothing.
