what we have is a blanket for the turbo's exhaust housing. so yeah it's going to be sheild

What about using High Heat Ceramic Paint on the exhaust manifold. I think even Duplicolor has some stuff thats supposed to insulate up to 1200 deg. Of course maybe try to find some higher quality paint if you can.

dont cheap out, get it jet coated or ceramic coated
costs maybe 100 for a manifold and you can do it to the exhaust housing too.

Also, you might want to take your cam cover and notch it slightly.

too late my cover is already paint in house of colour pink pearl
we'll have to live with what we have and think of a solution when a problem arises.... Btw: it is not touching at the moment why do i need to notch it??? Is it because they will expend under high temp??.... Please explane

looking good felix, seems you have had a lot of problems mate with this . i rebuilt mine myself and had no issues, sump adapter from proengines went straight on, front prop clears no issues, engine sits in and catches nothing at all?. ,..bernie uk .

rb26/30 gt35r 1.06 rear ceramic coated. jun stage one cams , cp forgies, spool rods, arp bolts everywhere. car made 700bhp @ 1.8 bar 660lbs torque @ 5500rpm. goes well.lol. really well.

well ur's is a R33 i assume it will have a bigger engine bay, so that would explain the turbo clearence issue.
i must say...ur parts are much nicer then mine..and that would also explain why ur install went so smooth... i mean ...look at ur manifold
i have spool rods too ....how's ur's?? what do you think of them ?
what are the specs of ur engine ?
just watched the vid of ur car...OMG....i can't wait till mine goes on the dyno and the track!!

Are you going to be able to fit the blanket in between the housing and valve covers as well as the housing and strut tower? Please post a pic of the blanket. I was thinking about getting one for mine.

i don't think i can fit the strut bar..haven't try yet.....
