dont cheap out, get it jet coated or ceramic coated
costs maybe 100 for a manifold and you can do it to the exhaust housing too.

Also, you might want to take your cam cover and notch it slightly.

I thought the TDO7 exhaust housing was supposed to be significantly smaller than the TDO8. I had no idea there would be a clearance issue. I guess it can only be attributed to the taller deck and because of the tilt of the engine, it puts the turbine closer to the strut tower.

Just imagine what clearance issues you are going to have with a full T88 or something similar....

major problem is that it is taller,
the turbo kit was ment to fit between the notch in the shock tower,
if it was lower it would fit perfect.
oh well....we made it fit

Wow...Just read this whole build thread for the first time. Felix your one committed person. Glad to see someone take the time and pride to do things the way they should be done. I thought I was spending too much $$$ on my build, but brother I got nothing compared to you. Hope to see this car in person someday. Keep up the GREAT build

this is something tricky
because the engine is taller, all the pipes needs to be longer, and because i have a greddy manifold, the intake pipe needs to be 4" instead of 3"
so we cut and weld + extended the intake pipe from the IC, also made it 4"-3"

yes running bigger cams will do no damage to internal
so yes you will be safe running it, all u need is cam gears so u can tune it

yes the cams were in the engine when it blew. but again, the whole engine, only #6 piston had minor damage, the head was fine. and it had stock parts
