Nissan? Hope you have deep pockets. I was looking into this a while back and remember being really turned off by the prices.

Odds of a used one needing to be replaced again are pretty high.

I had a Toyota soarer, had the same thing, accumulator but was for the brakes, there was a place u could send your canister to get refilled, I believe it was still 200 or 250 bucks to fill

Got one from a supplier friend from Tokyo, actually it was considered as a "not safe" item on board an air freight since it is pressure filled but!!! It got thru safely to my door steps. I'll p.m you the source. And just like the others said, the other easy way is to have the canister recharged.

Actually some BNR34 owners have this problem earlier than expected, imagine my what.. 20 yr. old BNR32 just have this problem a year a go.

Would rightdrive be able to recharge these things? Just noticed mine was extremely loud while i had the car on, but not started... didnt really notice before cause of the noise from the engine covered it up quite nicely lol

They have to be drilled and tapped for a certain fitting to be filled through, shocks are filled with nitrogen so some suspension places might be able to fill them, only place I found was overseasbut, I didn't really look to hard. Also need to know how much pressure go in these, I think it was pretty high, like 300 lbs, or maybe it was 120, lol .

Yep. But it can be done, have my trusty neighbor mechanic undo mine and replace it. He did it in around 2+ hrs. w/ the car just jacked up.

But is yours low charged already? You can tell if the ATTESA relay clicks every 15 to 30 sec. or so w/c is very audible inside the car (very annoying too). That relay is installed in between the tail lights.

it's not clicking, but i hear the weird "electrical" dim sound everyone 1-2mins.

hmmm, I just started experiencing this problem as this past winter. Click inbetween the tail lights. Volt meter flickers and lights blink. I have a '89 GTR so perhaps, I need the recharge as mentioned above. I'm probably going to take my vehicle into Nissan so they can check for me.

I found out what my problem was about a week ago but I didn't get the chance to see if I was right until today.

I agree with the previous posts stating that the clicking is normal. Yes, it's normal. It's normally the ATESSA or Fuel pump relay as previously stated. The voltage drain may be normal but I want to drive my a couple of friends' GTRs to ensure that its the same for them.

My problem was my tires. I had different tires between the front/back. Moreover, the fronts were different sizes than the back: 215/60 and 225/50. I don't want to get in the story of how they were switched but that was kicking off my ATESSA and making the clicking noise more frequent.

I had a set of brand new tires installed today of equal dimensions and the problem is solved. I still hear the click but it's not as often as before. I still get the slight power drain but it's not such a big drain as it was previously. Other than the my GTR is running like a champ.
