I disagree, stay away from the f-con. no one can tune those, and even if you can find someone, you're now bound to that tuner for life, and if he moves or shuts down, you're hooped. Besides, the F-con is honestly a convoluted and dated system. why pay so much for basically a piggy back that has the HKS label on it.

Power FC hands down is a better option, but for that price, you might want to consider a ViPEC, lot more features and a lot fun.

F-con is said to be similar to Motec ECU. F-con can run standalone or piggyback. F-con runs better in piggyback mode due to better fuel economy.

I wish I can go HKS all the way. but theres no money for that sht.Even with no f con im getting fckd buy tuners here.fc and learn to tune it your self that will be awsome.I herd of some one runing mega squirt and he was blasting through all gears. The thing is he tuned it him self?I even sow his car on youtube.(but hes only making like 325hp) :drive: why would you need a mega squirt for 325 hp/just dont get it?

We are still waiting on the engine management... but the car should be back together midway thru next week.

Can somebody please give me a definitive answer regarding the best choice for engine management around the $1500 range?

I'd say AEM if you can find one that cheap. If not look into SDS.

                      it all depends

what you should look for its a good tuner and then find what ems you can get
no matter what ems you go for the most important its the tuner,fc is a great choice man im I went for fc(maps) with the boost kit.but if no one knows how to tune it its worthless.if you find one that works with fc Ill say thats your only choice due to the money issues.Kind of filling you there man.

Link Plus G3 ECU, as you can change the troublesome factory TPS for a aftermarket TPS and has air intake sensor (allows ECU to adjust for winter, summer conditions), map sensor (don't need a AFM upgrade), etc -

Link ECU was installed on this R32 GTR in link below that won the sports saloon class and set a new lap record -

Also they won the street sprint and broke the lap record 3 times -

Here's the R32 GTR at the street sprint -

At that price range, you're a little over a hundred away from a ViPEC, and that system destroys AEMs, i'm sorry but i can't in good conscience allow you to buy that archiac abacus like system when you're basically in the price range for a ViPEC that has the kind of options you get in Autronic, Motec, Haltec, etc,
Just call me at 403-346-7960 and ask for Chris
