My manifold came in and its pure sexxx. It came with some cool goodies like studs, T3 steel gasket, and swag.
My Oil cooler setup, steel exhaust gasket and 4 out of 5 gauges came in...metric temp gauges are on back order, atleast I have one so far. Only things left to do is figure out my oil and coolant lines, and wastegate and dump pipe setups.
So Ive started installing parts on Babyzilla. I dove right into probably the most daunting job with tackling the ARP headstud install and Tomei adjustable cam gears. I pulled out the cams and torqued up the studs to spec, some of the old bolts were really cunty to get out. Ive put my cams back in but I think Im going to get my valve covers, timing covers, sway bar, and a few other parts powder coated for sexiest. The next fun step will be to reset my timing
Ive ripped out the front spoiler, charcoal canister, SMIC and piping. Ive had to take off the front rebar, radiator, and clutch fan for access. Im going to be taking off the OEM exhaust manifold and turbo, and test fitting/installing my FMIC and Top Mount exhaust manifold this weekend. Finally some progress with my build!!!
Ya bro, I got back from a 4 week job in McMurray on Saturday. Ive been going hard since April, Ive only had about 10 days off or so since then. Luckily I dont start the next job til the 30th, so I have a little free time, not to mention me and the girlfriend just broke up too. Pretty much any day but Sunday is good for me James.
Regards,
Ken.

I got the crank off yesterday and sent my timing covers and valve covers out for powder coating. I ordered some light weight alternator and water pump pulleys. Ill pull off the pulley on my power steering pump and get them all powder coated, along with my fuel rail.
Today I pulled out the stock turbo, exhaust manifold and dump pipe. I test fitted the 6Boost manifold and GTX3071, there are some clearance issues with the power steering reservoir. Ill have to move the reservoir and a hard line under the manifold. I also found out the the OEM intake piping just before the throttle body also wont fit. Looks like Ill have to put together some custom Intercooler piping. Im going to hunt down some water and oil lines for the new turbo.
New alt pulley and valve covers power coated black, I got the coil pack and timing covers coated too. I decided to get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated. Mocking up my lines to the turbo right now, I have to order a few fittings. More to come.
Thx guys, its still a work in progress. Luckily I was able to make enough room in the garage to squeeze her in. Now I can move at my own pace (turtle) all winter, which is very nice. Ya James, I havent seen you in ages, I want to check out the GodZilla. Rumor is that I have another week of ass time til the next shutdown but who knows. I got a case in the fridge man
Regards,
Ken.
