No more RHD in Quebec...

After years of hearing about banning RHD cars .. Quebec did it.. this morning.
How... well, before registering a car at the SAAQ, we need to pass an inspection, these inspection centers received a paper telling that if the steering is on the wrong side, they cannot pass the inspection, so thats mean, no inspection sheet = no plates. This is official since today, for 180days, which after this delay, they'll decide if they keep it that way or go back like before.
RHD that are already plated will be ok, but for how long ?

I hate this province, want to move to BC

On what grounds? Cars from Japan are a hell of a lot more safe and polute less than the scrap here. Their 'Shaken' safety standards and emissions are much more strict, so claiming it can't pass an inspection is a laugh.

Guess the price of registered cars in QC just went up.

I do understand where they are coming from. RHD is not as safe in a LHD environment, you cannot argue that.

MaxGTST is right ! It's true , all the previous car are ok so they can be sold or driven but no more new jdm in Quebec from overseas.

I think the roads are fine,, as the Steering wheel location doesnt effect them..

however traffic flow isnt designed for it..
