Lets look at the Pros and Cons on this:

    Pros:
    New Car
No problems what so ever he hopes.
Will be one of the fastest STi's around

    Cons:
    - Warranty... Void after everything is changed. 1 reason why you buy a new car.
    - Making the same power as the mint GTR he previously owned.
    - Sold the GTR for a lose obviously and is putting now putting $70,000 into an STi he wouldn't be able to sell for more than say $55,000 with some kms on it.
    - Ugly body styling, reminds me off a peppier toyota matrix (which is sad for a supposed sports car). The cheaper 2007 model is much better looking in every way shape and form. (Personal opinion of course.)

To each his own though, its not my $70,000. Good luck with the car man, pictures are needed with the built motor and all the goodies installed.
    Its a hobby....
    car building is not cheap
    nor is it profitable
If one wants to "make" money
    ughhh one can collect stamps?

O I know, my GTR has not been cheap by any means. Neither will my next build.

But for $70,000 there is ALOT of cars I would personally get before a 2009 sti that makes 600hp. Again just personal opinion don't take it to heart.

And keep in mind, it comes with EVERYTHING... turbo, ecu, fuel system (pump included), clutch, block, accessories, downpipe, intake, front diff etc.

When you add all that up, it's actually not a bad deal.
I think I am, and I've actually thought about this today at school and I can see that being a decent deal.

I voted yes because I knew it sold...lol

Cars are like chicks: spend a lot of money, have a lot of fun, repeat.

I will probably sell a car or two I own right now...I love them, but there's a lot of other cool cars I want to own. Kind of sensing a chick related theme here! (haha...I wish...)

          I completely understand.

That being said, my next purchase will be a motorcycle. Most likely. Maybe not. We'll see.

I'm going to California and while I'm there I'm going to advertise my car. If I can make money on it, then hey, why not.

I voted yes because unmodified internally, they're quite a bit stronger than the skyline drivetrain.

Yeah, I knew it was sold. Wheres the fun in an automatic R35 though? It might be quicker than with a normal synchro box, but wheres the fun for a street car?
I dunno....I'm just fan of clutches.
