They "got" me at a whopping 67 in a 60 right after they changed the truck limit. You must have caught one in a REALLY good mood:-|
Never a ticket in the Skyline tho..Michigan or Ontario. And these cars stand out even more over there...'89 GTST - SOLD

13 times in 2007!!
I just wanted everyone to know that this year, i've been pulled over a total of 13 times for no apparent reason lol. Thankfully no tickets issued but hassle none the less. Got pulled over last night when exiting a banquet hall , there was an undercover cop at the exit of the parking lot, i got a total of 5 feet from it when the cherries came on. Nice and ebarassing infront of all my family. She was trying to tell me that my exhaust was improper as it was "smoking" too much, lol i told her "i just turned my car on, the engine is still cold". But joking aside there MUST be a way for them to flag your profile, i mean this is borderline harassment.
My advice, always be polite, have all your documents in order.1991 BNR32 - SOLD (sigh...)

If you get pulled over as much as you did you can take down there badge numbers and all there info. and go to the police station and request a DNP form and tell them that you did nothing wrong and dont deserve to be pulled over this often. They wont pull you over anymore for random spot checks. But this isnt a I can speed and u cant touch me pass. If your speeding or illegal activities you will be pulled over. You can't doubt the existance of hell when you live in it

I have been stopped many times with good reason by the police as well... But they tend to change their minds about issuing me tickets every time they check the plates. I know there is some degree of detail on their network, but I would be very interested in actually seeing how it is set up! I am curious why they treat me with such peculiarity.
Case in point:
New Years Eve( Technicaly Jan 1st.) 3:15 AM.
I was leaving langley, and I left a light in the business district on a semi-hard launch. Shifting from 1st to 2nd released a very loud, and very visible backfire (I could see the fireball in my own rearview.) There was an officer nearby, that called ahead for another RCMP vehicle to stop me down the road. I was asked if I used NO2, I said No.. They Asked to Check, I said ok. They told me they had received complaints of a "rocket propelled something" terrorizing the area... I even ADMITTED it was me! Not one of the 3 officers cared to charge me, or even issue a VI. I cannot even count the number of violations that my car would fail off hand. They were more interested in what I had done to the vehicle, and I had to give them a tour of it!;-)
I don't know how anyone doesn't get along with the police. I have only met a few dicks in my time on the road, and the vast majority are considerate, or at the least tolerable. Just treat them respectfully and don't BS... MOST of the time all is well, and they just want you to understand where you screwed up.

I don't know how many times I've been told I drive a flame thrower too....Stinky's ECU tune on the way...
On topic, I agree tho just be nice and polite, usually they are fine. Around my "town" the cops are really cool with my car. Like I said before, even the Port Huron cops in Michigan know it and I have had no problems on either side...'89 GTST - SOLD

if a cop pulls you over in Edmonton and asks you to pop your hood there is no harm in complying. They never issue a ticket for a big turbo, flashy paint etc, there is nothing for them to ticket you on really. If your car has all the safety features as required there is nothing wrong. Sure you can get an excessive noise ticket or an enlarged exhaust ticket(never holds up in court). A car has no hp limit, if you want a flashy engine bay so be it, in no way can the cop ticket you for having a chrome valve cover.
The only times i have had to pop my hood were;
1. cop wanted to verify the serial number as a skyline much like mine was stolen(fair enough)
2. to oogle at my big twins and no air filters
3. oogle again
it seems I either get pulled over by curious cops or I get pulled over for doing something stupid like 90+ over the limit/or drifting a traffic circle.

hahah first time i "socially" took the car out ( this is like third time ive even driven it yet) i was driving a few friends to the bar and i was heading home cuz i had work the next day... so im going like 40 in the snow and the lights come on and i was like ahh it begins... so i pull over, cop goes over to the wrong side, freaks out when he sees a girl with no steering wheel.. so i go over here man... he goes oh sh*it, i laugh and to make a long story short, he gives me a bit of a hard time asking random questions.. finally im like did i do something wrong? he stares me down and says "random document check" and walks away.. lol
