      Impact coatings.
they charged me 80 a turbine housing(160 a turbo), 100 dollars per exhaust manifold, then i think something like 60 per dump pipe.
when you add in the intake piping i got down, and the intake plenum, i think all in all i paid about 1100 for ceramic coating.

Everything is at a stand still now. Just waiting for Lightspeed to finish up building by longblock! I finally found a coil cover to complete my engine aesthetics. Got it for free too! Stripped it down, gave it a light sand, and getting it chromed right away to match the rest of the covers.

So I started rippin apart the transmission. It took 3 seconds with my foot on the clutch before I could engage first gear. So I'm replacing the synchros.

I borrowed a tool kit from Sherwood Nissan to pull the gears and what not off. They didn't have the tool for this sleeve so I was stuck for a while.

Took it to Alberta driveline and they gave it back like this. WOOO

This is where I'm at now. Hopefully have it apart an back together by the end of the week.

Oh and I bought an R34 coil cover emblem

Got it all apart and began putting back together with the new synchros.

There was a lot of play for second gear... This was before I took it apart.

But what I found out after I put it back together, was the original rebuilder of the tranny, didn't press 2nd gear all the way. When I put it back together, there was a correct amount of play.

This is where I left of yesterday, now in the building process.

And it is for sure route 6.

Finished rebuilding the transmission today. felt so great to get it all back together. first time ever touching the insides of a transmission and it all went back together smoothly. Cam got a little delayed on my engine cause his machinist he uses didnt finish with the parts until saturday. I am hoping to be able to pick it up on thursday so i can work on it over the weekend cause i have no school or work.

                          • 150 dollars for just the coil cover. probably would be around 500 if you got all 4 covers done at the same time. These places are always very busy though. these guys said 10-14 days and it was 28 days. The other place i went to originally was 25 dollars cheaper, but they said it would be 2 months. And its not the time it takes to actually chrome plate it, its the wait time because these places have a lot of customers. But i do recommend putting on the R34 coil cover emblems as they look a ton better than the r32/33 emblem. you can get them on nissanparts.cc for like 35 bucks.

Unfortunately, i talked to Cam today, and he said my block and head werent up to par from the machinist so he is having them fix it up so it is perfect before he begins assembly. i am expecting my engine done in about 8-10 days now, so this weekend, i will work on installing my meth kit, changing my brake pads, putting in a new stud for my rear wheels (Does anyone know where these can be had? or a part number would be excellent as i have no problem getting things through my nissan dealer), along with some wiring and painting!!! I am not the greatest at these build threads. i just post pictures and **** of how things go, so sorry if it is plain!

                            • Did some wrenching on the car today. Put in a set of AMS carbon ceramic brake pads. Wasn't planning on machining my rotors because usually they are a bitch to take off, but since they felt the need to just fall off so easily, I machined.

The Japanese are the best at threading brake caliper bolts.

My Apexi Gt Rotors. rusted from being outside all winter, nice and fresh now!

Also sanded up the Nissan emblem to give it a cleaner look.

Wanted to take my mirrors off so i could repaint them cause they are just awful looking.

At the same time i wanted to figure out why my power mirrors and power folding mirror buttons were not working. Well sure as **** they werent plugged in...

And this is where the car stands now. (still no engine and transmission)
