The south! Florida?
Sounds good, text me when you get in.
Lol i'll take it, i mean, i'll have a spare block to mess with since the one in my car needs a bore no matter what due to the scoring.
We can build that up over the next summer/winter for next season. My only concern with the 24 is wall thickness into the water galleries. The cylinders will need nikasil plating or something similar to keep from cracking at high temps, otherwise i dont think it'll last.
RB23 is more than do-able, and i'd be down to do that now. Instead of 82mm pistons, i can run 81mm 4AGZE pistons. My only issue is i can't for the life of me find these pistons ANYWHERE. I've been searching ever since i posted the info for this build, but have yet to have any luck finding a supplier.
I'm down to do that this summer though! It gives me time to finish my interior build and get that out of the way for now, and i'd like to get as much hands on time with a stock rebuild before going to something crazy.
I have 2 sets of pistons, both of which are in mint shape, so i'll likely get them bead blasted and rerung if i cant find a set of forged ones.
I might get my rods shot peened, been debating it.. Either that or a set of Eagle rods or something.. Up in the air..
As for head work, going to keep the stock valves this season coupled to my new tomei valves/poncams. Next season i'll do valves and valve seats and bronze guides, as well as severe headwork to match the 23/24 route.
The car is going to be a work of art when it's done.. I'm really excited to have the project completed, 23/24 and all. Engine, footwork, and interior, completely rebuilt/new. Such an effin relief..
Any info on these inverted torx bolts holding the squirters in? Size etc?
